In the course of a telephonic conversation with the Palestinian President Mr. Mahmoud Abbas the Prime Minister of Israel Mr. Benjamin Netanyahu spoke about the cooperation the two countries had in the past and that he intends to keep the peace process alive. Mr. Abbas who called on the prime minister on the occasion of Passover said the conversation was friendly and warm. While Mr. Abbas insists on the formation of a separate state, the right wing government led by Mr.Netanyahu, that took office on April 1 says that it is not bound by the 2007 agreement reached in the US.
